Introduction

Welcome to NOTER, your offline AI-powered note-writing assistant designed specifically for psychotherapists. By leveraging the power of Large Language Models (LLMs), NOTER streamlines the note-writing process, helping you create comprehensive progress notes from brief session descriptions. Your data stays secure as it never leaves your computer, ensuring confidentiality and peace of mind.

Understanding the AI Collaboration

Working with NOTER’s AI is like guiding a dedicated assistant. It has a singular focus: it will take what you give it and reliably transform that into a complete progress note. That is exactly and only what it does.

The model and approach does not change or adapt over time; it does not take in your information in any way other than to process it in that moment into a full progress note. Your input directly informs the AI's output, making each note a unique collaboration.

Adding Session Descriptions

  1. Open the App: Launch NOTER on your computer.
  2. Input Window: Enter your session description in the input text area on the main interface. The lefthand side where it says “Enter text here…”
  3. Line Break = New Note: Have NOTER process multiple notes in one sitting! Press Enter to create a new line for different notes. NOTER will always think a new paragraph = a new note, so avoid line breaks within a single note for clarity.
  4. Provide Details: Include relevant session details like key points, client concerns, and notable quotes to guide the AI.
